Hump day without the bunnies…
This week, I didn’t go to my internship, which allowed me to get a lot of sewing done. Thank goodness! So, now I am SO SO CLOSE to being finished with the gorgeous wedding dress for my friend!
But, here are 3 things that I’ve been mulling over on my lovely 2 day break from life:
1. Wearing my hair in a top knot, makes me feel like a real blogger.
2. I watch way too much Family Guy.
3. I should not buy groceries when hungry. Or alone. But now Whit and I are fully stocked, for like a month…
So, sorry no bunny pictures today! But instead, enjoy this one!
It’s Scrimpy, our Squirrel friend that lives in Whitney’s Window box, effectively killing all her plants, but allowing us to coo all over him, from inside
Hump Day
I want to be a better blogger, so I think I may start instituting fun things on this here blog. Like, Hump Day.
.
Every Wednesday, I’ll be at the farm, learning a bit about fashion and a lot about nature. Specifically bunny rabbits. And since I am ALL about ridiculous puns, I’ve decided to do “bunny picture Wednesday”, but call it Hump Day.
And now you know.
So, for our first official Hump Day series, have a bunny!
Farm.
I started my internship yesterday, on the farm. Technically, I suppose it’s not a farm. But I like to call it that, because it makes people flabbergasted. And that, my friends, is fun.
So, basically, I will be helping out Ambika of Ambika Bikinis & Furs, with some PR, design, and bunny wrangling. Oh, and there are also Sheep, Goats, Cats, a Dog, and Annabelle – the dairy goat. It’s pretty much perfect. And exactly what I needed to escape from the City a few days a week.
So far it’s been chalk full of petting baby bunnies, researching blogs and fashion, swim breaks at the lake, raw milk, homecooking, sleeping in a loft, and nature. I’m really excited about the opportunities and involvement I get to have here, and just to learn so many new things about fur and yarn and knitting! I love hands on creativity, so I think I’m in heaven here.
And now for bunny pictures!

Giveaway!
Hello!
I’ve been quite absent from the blog, it feels like. But, it’s all because of my side-venture in life, Juxtapose!
Not only are we currently working on Spring: sewing, selling, blogging, etc. We began working on a small Fall 2011 Collection too! We’re working out the styles and patterns right now, but we already received our fabric, and we’re in love!
So, that, my dears, is why I have been slacking. That, and a lack of motivation to be creative. But I did a sweater makeover that I’ll post soon!
But in the meantime, check out Jux, and then check out this great blog for an awesome giveaway featuring Juxtapose!!
Good Luck!

p.s. I cannot WAIT to wear this dress:
That Girl
I’m becoming that girl.
Which girl is that? You might be asking…
That girl – is the one who wears leggings. AS PANTS.
I vowed that I would never be that girl. While in Paris, I saw those girls. The American’s studying abroad that wore their black leggings, their short sweaters/tops, and their uggs. I vowed I would never be that girl.
I’m not QUITE that girl yet, but I’m getting there. Let’s hope I stop before it’s too late. But never fear, I will not own uggs, ever. (unless of course my feet get realllllllly cold)
All That Glitters
I recently discovered the power of sequins. And by recently, I mean yesterday, when I wore sequins and felt immensely cooler.
Also, while sitting at work, I noticed that every time the light hit me, I would sparkle, so that’s a plus too, I think.
And to think, I’ve only worn this sweater once before…shame.
My friends, sequins are here to stay. And in case you’re worried that you’ll get tired of seeing this sweater, do not fret! I also have a black sequined tank top, and in my apartment someone has a black sequined skirt. One day, I’ll wear ALL of them together, just for you, my bloggy friends. Just for you.

Halfway Full?
Katie and I have decided to stop our challenge. For a few reasons…
1. Katie Hates It.
2. Allie Hates It.
3. We Hate It Collectively.
Now, don’t go thinking that we’re giving up because it’s hard or simply because it’s not fun. Our thinking is…why do something willingly, that we don’t need to do, that we hate so much? Hate seems like such a strong word. Anti-love? Something we anti-love so much? meh…
Basically, we aren’t feeling creative, and more than anything, we’re feeling stifled in our creativity. Before, having our full closet to our disposal allowed us to mix and match seasons and styles and colors in ways that we normally wouldn’t. But narrowing that down to 30 pieces that had to last for 30 outfits cut that creativity down to about 10%. Blah.
So, we are looking at our challenge as Half Full. Always the optimists, over here. (Which, if you know either of us, probably isn’t true…) We completed 15 outfits each. Made out of less than 30 items, because let’s be real, neither of us wore all the pieces we chose. Allie doesn’t have pics from outfit 14-15, because she was having fun in DC and didn’t want to document her repeat outfits…okay, so they weren’t repeats, but really, she changed the sweater or tank she wore. Not that exciting…
So, lets raise our halfway full glasses to the completion of the newly dubbed “30 for 15″ challenge, and toast to experiencing our full closets again!!
Cheers!

Friday the 13th
Oh, man, these titles kill me. In the best way possible, of course.
Today, outfit number 13. And I think, wearing something I’ve yet to wear again! Woo, go me!
I like this outfit, very comfortable and causal. Everything that is not the Upper East Side. So, maybe by wearing this I was taking a stance against everything I work for?! Saying NO to overpriced fashion and madness?? Although I wore Manolo Blahniks with it, so technically I guess I’m a sellout. Oh well. They’re cute…
And if you don’t know me very well, or know my job situation, then this post will not make too much sense to you. Although, I bet that you can grasp what I’m slyly hinting at.
So, picture? At the bottom. WordPress is silly.
Jeans: Gap Tank: American Apparel Shirt: Forever 21 Cardi: Zara Shoes: Manolo Blahnik (intern/slave)
On a bus to DC, such dedication…See you guys next week!

Twelve Drummers Drumming
I had the title as 12 French Hens first, but obviously I do not know my Christmas song lyrics very well…
Also, it is not Christmas. In case you were unaware.
But, it is the twelfth (could not figure out how to spell that for the life of me…) day of the 30 for 30 challenge for me. And I like cheesy titles – don’t lie, you do too.
Here is what I wore today. I didn’t love it. But it got the job done. Plus it was almost 50 degrees all day long. And that calls for flats and a dress. Later on, it also called for a dust mask and a bottle of alcohol. I’ll let you figure out what that means…
(I need my fashion photographer back in my life):
Dress: Urban Outfitters Blazer: H&M Flats: Steve Madden (replacement for the day for the other ones which I left at work…)
Ah, my bangs we’re being freaks today. I’m so glad that they are now subjected to being flattened by a headband. Take that bad hair day!
Off to DC for the weekend, taking only items from the 30 for 30, hoping to get to outfit number 15 while I’m gone! Wish me luck!
Allie
