Who We Are

We are a group of friends that want to live differently. We want our lives to be a spoken witness of our love for the Lord and our love for His people. We feel that we are called to love all people, and we plan on doing that by sticking steadfastly to socially-conscious ways of living. We want our impact in this world to only affect peoples hearts and lives in good, gracious ways.

We do not want this to only become one aspect of our lives. We want it to infiltrate our world, change everything about us for the better, and help us to make this world a better place for those who cannot do it themselves.

How are we going to accomplish this…one day at a time.

fabric stores are totally acceptable. the main idea is to not buy mass-produced clothing. We will post something about this soon – so check back!!

In response to Whitney’s question about what to do with her gift card my suggestion relates to a small non-profit Board on which I serve that helps abused, neglected and at-risk kids (ages 11-17). We are always looking for donations of new clothing for kids that are brought in to spend time in group homes while their family situations are being resolved. I suggest that you go to Gap and buy some good basics – such as t-shirts, pajamas, sweats, etc. and donate them to a worthy charity. This way you’ll not only get that feel good shopping experience but you will also help make some other person’s day a little brighter!

Your policies are really challenging. I agree with them and urge you all to read-LIVING WITH LESS – the downsizing of life by MARK TABB. WOW a REAL challenge and for the LORD
